<p>Back in June 2012, driving past Barlaston village hall as I often do saw the amount of cars parked and realised how busy and popular the classes were &#8211; and thought &#8216;I wish I could do that&#8217;<span id="more-1089"></span></p></blockquote>
<p>So one morning I took one of the biggest steps I have done in my life and said &#8216; it&#8217;s only ME who can change my lifestyle and the way I look &#8216; After suffering for many years of depression, low self esteem, lack of confidence, weight gain and battling with Crohn&#8217;s disease . I thought enough is enough &#8211; stop making excuses for yourself about how I felt and looked and do something about it . So I decided to try my first Zumba class with Gail on a Thursday morning . I&#8217;m not  going to lie to you, but stepping into the village hall on my own was REALLY daunting and hard, and I was actually sick before hand due to nerves. But everyone was so welcoming and I soon felt at ease. I&#8217;ve been there ever since!</p>
<blockquote><p>Since that first class I have been hooked, I absolutely love it. To the point that the next month I joined Gail&#8217;s Bootcamps and am now on my 7th one!! I also do the &#8216;Boxerbeat, X &#8211; KOR classes as well as Zumba .</p></blockquote>
<p>It is one of the most rewarding , life changing things I have ever done . I have tried the usual gyms before but absolutely hated it . Gail&#8217;s Bootcamp was just so different . There were people of different ages, shapes, sizes and abilities. None of the usual intimidation I had felt at the gym.</p>
<p>People were so welcoming , inspirational , and I feel privileged to share their amazing fitness  journey with them, and every single one of them have become very dear friends. This reflects on how fantastic Gail is because this is HER group and it&#8217;s what she has made it.</p>
<blockquote><p>Gail, thank you so much for helping to turn my life around. Your encouragement, belief, motivation and fun factor with amazing people are what have kept me going and keep me coming back for more and more. You truly are my &#8216;guardian angel &#8216; .</p></blockquote>
<p>People who have known me for a long time, know what I have been through in the past, and how I WAS as a person. But since joining your fitness classes are amazed at not only my 2 stone weight loss but how I have changed as a person. I now try and hold my head high with my achievements and have become a lot more positive and happy with life and looking forward to the future and reaching my goal!</p>
<blockquote><p>So anyone thinking of giving Gail&#8217;s classes ago &#8211; please, please give it a try. It&#8217;s not just about feeling better physically which obviously is great  but mentally too &#8211; and meeting great people along the way. If I can do it anyone can, what have you got to lose? Apart from weight loss, inches and all that negativity we sometimes burden our bodies with!</p></blockquote>

<p>I got weighed &amp; measured &amp; followed a four week diet plan exercised twice a week with a group of other ladies &amp; gentlemen on the camp.</p>
<blockquote><p>After 4 weeks I got my weigh in &amp; had the most amazing result an incredible 14lbs!</p></blockquote>
<p>I was so pleased &amp; loving the exercise &amp; healthy eating, I then joined up for the next Boot Camp but this time I introduced Zumba before the Boot Camp class, another 4 weeks a diet plan done &amp; another 14lbs!</p>

<blockquote><p>I&#8217;ve now done quite a few boot camps &amp; I’ve loved them! I also now do Gail&#8217;s Boxerbeat &amp; X-KOR classes.</p></blockquote>

<p>Gail did a thorough consultation on our first meeting along with assessing my fitness levels and taking body measurements and photographs, we discussed target areas and what my overall goal was. I was quite body conscious at this time but Gail was very reassuring and approachable and made everything fun.  I booked a course of 10 personal training sessions where we performed different exercises and training programmes to stop me from getting bored, we  always working hard but had loads of giggles along the way.</p>
<p>After 5 weeks Gail took further pictures and I could really see a difference it was a real motivator my confidence was high . I decided to enroll on one of Gail’s boot camps alongside the PT sessions this was group sessions again intense workouts targeting different areas of the body. The Group sessions worked well as a Gail is a great motivator which helped us to work as a team so everyone could achieve their own goals Gail is always pushing us to our limits constantly getting the most from us all whilst certainly having some good fun.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<blockquote><p>Once my PT had finished I had lost 2.5 stone and a massive 28 inches wow  this was all done with the help of Gail Nicholls couldn’t of done it without her she not only helps you to lose weight , change body shape and get fit but she changes your mind set into really enjoying exercising and making it fun. She was always there to offer support both physical and mental along with healthy eating advice.</p></blockquote>
<p>I still attend Boot camp and X KOR classes 3 times a week with my regular daily exercise plan recommended for me by Gail.</p>
<p>I would recommend Gail Nicholls fitness I feel fitter healthier and my confidence is booming it certainly worked for me as you will see by my pictures.</p>

<p>Thank you all for another fabulous year of fitness, fun and record breaking weight loss!<span id="more-750"></span></p>
<h2>Zumba</h2>
<p>Our Zumba brings WIGGLES and GIGGLES to a loyal fan base in Staffordshire which just keeps getting bigger and bigger. All of you make the classes so much fun and infectious, thank you for some fantastic memories…..</p>
<p>&#8230;crazy Gangam Style, freestyle Zumba to Scream – Usher, Halloween Zombie Zumba, Gail’s Zumba Party with live Congas and fancy dress, Zumbathons and of course who can forget the special guest appearances from the Zumba Angels, who know how to get a party started!!! Just sayin…..</p>
<p>One of my personal  Zumba highlights for 2012 was, being one of the first licensed to teach  Zumba Sentao in the UK and attending the first UK convention……..where I had the opportunity to get up close to Beto Perez my Zumba Hero and to be taught Zumba by the main man himself!!</p>

<h3>Boot-Camp</h3>
<p>I have been running Bootcamps in Staffordshire since 2009 and I am always blown away by the effort and personal success stories of the people who have taken part. In 2012 we have seen fantastic “record breaking” weight loss results and a huge rise in fitness levels.</p>

<p>The results are down to being pushed beyond whatever you could do on your own, the energy and team spirit shines through and more importantly you achieve your desired inch loss, weight loss and or fitness level goals.</p>
<p>Our Bootcamps have recently appeared in an article in the Sentinel featuring our Liane with her incredible weight loss journey and 3 stone weight loss, the article was a great way to raise awareness to the importance of health and wellbeing in or local area.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.gailnichollsfitness.co.uk/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/i-phone-booty-108.jpg"><img title="i phone booty 108" src="http://www.gailnichollsfitness.co.uk/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/i-phone-booty-108-300x121.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="121" /></a>Highlights from the year included supporting the “Bootiful Bootcampers” running goal of achieving a 5k run for Douglas Macmillian Hospice. So a few training sessions were held and ran alongside the Bootcamp sessions – On the day I warmed up all of the participants  The “Bootiful Bootcampers” all did fab, recording great times (up with the serious runners!!) and raised a lot of money for a great cause. Later on in the year Sophie and I warmed up the Drag Race participants which was a giggle!!</p>
<h3><strong>Tuck Jump Challenge</strong></h3>
<p>2012 Olympics inspired our Summer Bootcampers  to participate in the Gail Nicholls Fitness Olympic “Tuck Jump” challenge – Well done to all our athletes involved especially our medal winners.</p>

<h3>Our annual Pump up the Pumpkin workout was a great success….and yes size does really matter!!</h3>
<p>Plus its not all exercise and water we enjoy nights out with a glass of vino or two….to celebrate!</p>
<p>The most important thing about Bootcamp is the people you meet, the friends you make and the results you achieve…..sounds like something you would like to try?</p>

<h2>BOXERBEAT</h2>
<p>I have been working on this for a year, I wanted it to be the something quite special and something that no-one has ever done before, so it took some time to put the right programme together. The feedback and interest on FaceBook has been overwhelming   thank you for everyone’s support and help getting this new venture off the ground.</p>
<p>Boxerbeat is a fun Boxing fitness programme, designed to work with the beat of the music with effective combinations. 12 rounds of especially selected music designed to push you to work harder. This high energy workout burns up to 1000 calories in one hour!</p>
<p>For those who haven&#8217;t tried Boxerbeat yet - you are missing out!</p>
<p>I hope to eventually launch my programme into the gyms and further into the community as a franchise so watch this space!</p>
<p><strong>This is a pay as you go class for everyone to enjoy every Monday at Barlaston village hall at 7.15pm &amp; 8.30pm (booking is essential).</strong></p>
<h2>X KOR</h2>
<p>This is another  fitness programme created by Gail Nicholls Fitness and is an extreme core fitness programme that works with weighted core bags and is for those who want to see all over body tone and definition and to tighten the core and abdominal area.</p>
<p>The funniest thing was that everyone thought that this was going to be a yoga or pilates style class and brought along their yoga mats on the first night but very quickly became aware that it wasn&#8217;t for the faint hearted!</p>
<p>However, it didn&#8217;t put anyone off and this class has again grown in numbers and has gone from strength to strength. X-KOR again is not to be missed, this is a class that is performed as a circuit and is easy to follow.</p>
<p>It is a mixed class for men and women (as all of my classes are) and it is a strength and endurance class similar to a weighted toning class and as you know &#8211; the more muscle and stronger the body becomes then the more calories the body will burn! This class is every Tuesday night at Trentham High School at 7.30pm. (booking is essential)</p>
<h2>Christmas Party</h2>
<p>To end a fantastic year we had an amazing Christmas Party  thank you to all of you made it and for the wonderful surprise spa gift, you all looked amazing!!!</p>
